Miracle's Revenge Of Rumplestiltskin

The Revenge of Rumpelstiltskin

Miracle Theatre

Almost at the very end of this run of Rumpelstiltskin, Miracle performed to a capacity audience at the Keay.Always a joy to watch, this show is probably one of Miracle’s finest and most physical, with everything from costume changes to lighting control taking place on stage.

Imagine, if you will, a small Georgian Theatre troupe performing dark and bawdy pantomime with gay abandon, fire-breathing dragons and rolling seas; throw in a stroppy 21st Century Princess, a drippy Prince with many, many certificates, a weird Forest Fairy who is also Queen of the land, a 6 foot dwarf and you have some idea of this ridiculous but brilliant piece of theatre.

Everything about this theatrical madness and mayhem screams ‘Genius’, Tom Adams, Sally Crooks, Ben Dyson and Jason Squibb work the audience brilliantly, encouraging banter and nonsense throughout. Side-splittingly funny with end of the run ad-libbing simply because they can, Miracle have raised their own bar once again. So where will they go from here? Check out their website www.miracletheatre.co.uk for future news, and if Rumpelstiltskin comes round again, make sure you’re in the audience – I will be!!
