Eden Project :: Arts Café Crimbo Bash

Eden's Core was rammed on Friday night with funk fans ready to dance the night away and kick off the Crimbo party season in style.

Jelly Jazz have been the mainstay of Eden's monthly Arts Café nights, and rightly so; DJs Pete & Griff serve up a smooth mix of cool toons that fill the floor in minutes. Eden has a knack of booking very special bands and Friday saw Brighton's mighty King Porter Stomp play an amazingly kick ass funk/soul/dub set - making it hard to believe that these guys only formed 2 years ago. With socially aware lyrics and a phat brass section, hefty bass beats and cheeky personalities, the Stomp raised the roof along with the temperature.

The last Arts Café of 2009 paved the way for more of the same in 2010 - and shame on you if you weren't shakin' your boody on the night. May I suggest your New Year's resolution is a promise to visit the Art's Café, it's a sin to miss it.
