The night was cold, but the music was hot as the first Eden Arts Café of 2010 swung into action.
With resident spinmasters Jelly Jazz on the decks to get the party started, the dance floor was already rammed when Bristol swingsters the Zen Hussies hit the stage. Always a favourite with the Café crew, the Hussies have been inciting people to dance for the last 10 years. The Hussies may have a retro 20’s speakeasy look about them and their music is firmly rooted in the swing and jazz era, but their vast appeal lies in their ability to funk it up and get down and dirty with today’s modern young things.
Eden brought in the Spring with a swing and there’s plenty more to come; the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party is up next on April 2nd with the fabulous Underbelly’s album launch. Tickets are a measly £7 with a free drink if you book in advance at www.edenbookings.com or phone 01726 811911
